Security Acknowledgements

Recognizing security researchers who help keep SkillsArea secure

Thank You

We are grateful to the security researchers who take the time to responsibly disclose vulnerabilities to us. Your efforts help protect our users and make SkillsArea a more secure platform.

This page recognizes individuals who have helped improve our security through responsible disclosure.

2026

No acknowledgements yet - be the first!

If you've found a security vulnerability, please report it to [email protected]

How to Get Listed

If you've reported a security vulnerability to us and would like to be acknowledged:

  1. Report the vulnerability to [email protected] following our Security Policy
  2. Wait for us to fix and verify the issue
  3. Let us know if you'd like to be credited - we'll ask your permission before adding you to this page
  4. We'll add you with your name/handle (as you prefer) and a brief description of the vulnerability (if you're comfortable with that)

Note: We only acknowledge vulnerabilities that were responsibly disclosed and have been fixed. We respect your privacy - if you prefer to remain anonymous, we can list you as "Anonymous Researcher" or omit your name entirely.

Recognition Format

When we acknowledge a security researcher, we typically include:

  • Your name or handle (as you prefer)
  • The date the vulnerability was reported
  • A brief description of the vulnerability type (e.g., "XSS vulnerability", "Authentication bypass")
  • Your preferred contact method (if you want to be contacted by other researchers)

Example:

John Doe - Reported a cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in the user profile section (December 2025)

Privacy & Anonymity

We understand that some researchers prefer to remain anonymous. We respect your choice:

  • You can choose to be listed as "Anonymous Researcher"
  • You can use a handle or pseudonym instead of your real name
  • You can opt out of being listed entirely
  • We will never share your contact information without your explicit permission
